The Azteca Horse Registry of America (AHRA) has closed its doors after nearly 20 years of service. Dolores Dougherty has spent much of her time dedicated to the Azteca Horse in promoting this wonderful breed here in the USA and abroad. We want to Thank you Dolores for your endless hard work and now your willingness to make sure this breeds lives on. Dolores has reached an age in wish she wanted to retire. With that request she asked us to take over her studbook so the horses in her registry would remain viable. We happily agreed and look forward to working with all of you.
We have been getting some questions, so we hope we will answer some of here.
We are currently offering free registration papers with a paid full member, provided the horse meets our breed standards. We need the original certificate (NOT a copy) of the Azteca Horse Registry America, and one from our certificate will be issued to you. You must be listed as the owner. If you are transfering a horse from someone elses name into your , a fee of $15. will be charged along with a signed/dated bill of sale or tranfer report.
This free offer is for a limited time. The limit is 4 horse per paid membership. After that it will be $20 per horse.
Any horses that have not been registered with us or Azteca Horse Registry of America will be considered a new application and you will have to fill out one of our application. All forms and fees are available here on line. Please print them out and read instructions carefully.
For a limited time we will accept the registration applications of the former Azteca Horse Registry of America, but we ask that in the future our application be used. Also if the applicaiton from the AHRA is used we do need the drawing ID section of our application completed, as that is scanned and placed on our certificate. The other AHRA Drawing ID form on there application will not work.
